Introducing Ronald Terence Russell, Participant in the 2018 Canadian Button Accordion Event. Terry was born in the small town of Campbellford, Ontario, Canada, and as a boy was always intrigued with the versatility and expression capabilities of the accordion. In the early eighties, after a holiday in Italy, he bought his first accordion, an Excelsior Cosmopolitan model 20. Free time while running his business was scarce, so he seldom had a chance to play it until he retired. In 2001 he started accordion lessons at Domenic's Academy of Music in Ottawa, with his excellent mentor Anselmo Cinanni. Since then, the accordion has been his passion. Terry is a founding member of The Accordion Friends of Ottawa, a group of accordionists who meet monthly to socialize and share their music. Welcome Terry!
