Introducing Kevin van den Eijnden from the Netherlands performing at the 2021 World Cup on the Accordion Virtual Polka Championship held in Toronto, Canada and earning the highest mark in his age group and 2nd place OVERALL in the competition.
Kevin took his first accordion lesson at the age of 8. It soon became clear that the love for the diatonic accordion was not for just a moment, but for a lifetime and it soon became apparent also that he had the talent for it. His grandfather played the accordion, so music is in his blood. His great inspiration is Slavko Avsenik whose music has provided him with constant new energy and inspiration. Kevin is not only a fan of the Oberkrainer music but he also likes to look for challenges in other types of music. He says “that’s the beauty of music”!
